Students’ academic performance is reviewed at the conclusion of each term of enrollment. The primary purpose of monitoring academic standing is to identify and address academic concerns early, supporting students in making satisfactory progress toward successful and timely degree completion.
Good Academic Standing is defined by meeting both of the following requirements:
Students who do not meet one or both of these standards are subject to academic review. Students may also be placed on Academic Action if they are not making satisfactory progress toward their degree. Such students are required to work closely with the MSAI advising team to develop a structured academic plan designed to improve their performance and return them to good academic standing.
Students placed on academic review must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress in the subsequent semester and meet the requirements for good academic standing to restore their status.
Students who fail to make satisfactory academic progress or who repeatedly fail to maintain good academic standing may be subject to additional academic action, including being asked to withdraw from the program.
